Q.Do you have a Resort Fee? If so, what’s included?

Yes, we charge a $25 per night resort fee inclusive of taxes. This nightly fee includes a daily Continental Breakfast Buffet, 3-Hour Wine & Cheese Reception, all-day Refreshments, High-Speed Wireless Internet, Bottled Water, Turn down Service, Free Local and Toll-Free Calls, Fax and Package Service, Library with Books and Newspapers, Health Club Passes and more!

Q.Does the Casablanca provide room service?

Room service menus for The Brooklyn Diner and Tony's di Napoli are located in your guestroom.

Continental breakfast is in Rick's Cafe, however, if you prefer to have breakfast in your room, there is a $5 service fee.

For a hot and hearty New York City breakfast, the Brooklyn Diner next door is wonderful and they deliver to our guestrooms.

For lunch and dinner, spectacular room service is provided by Tony's di Napoli Restaurant at the Casablanca Hotel, but this is New York City where everyone delivers to your door! So please inform the concierge if there is anything else you wish to enjoy for in-room dining.

Q.Does the Casablanca Hotel speak my language?

The Casablanca Hotel is wheelchair accessible and offers Premium King Bedded Guestrooms and amenities that are accessible to persons with disabilities.

Q.Do you allow smoking?

The Casablanca is a smoke free hotel. Guests who wish to smoke must go outdoors. There is a $200 clean up fee for anyone who breaks this policy.

Q.When is Check in and Checkout time?

Check in time is at 3PM and Check out time is at Noon. If you arrive early, please feel free to check in. If your room is ready, we will hand you the key without delay. If not, feel free to drop off your bags and enjoy breakfast or afternoon refreshment in Rick’s Café. If you wish to go out and about Times Square, leave us your cell phone number and we will be glad to let you know when your room has be cleaned, inspected and ready for you to check in.

Q.What is on the menu for Breakfast?

Continental Breakfast is served daily in Rick's Café. Selections include: hot oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, whole wheat toast, assorted croissants, mini-muffins, Danish and scones, bagels with cream cheese, peanut butter, preserves and butter, fresh whole fruit and fruit salad with melon and berries, fresh orange, apple and cranberry juice, assorted cereals, assorted yogurts, and a selection of international coffees and teas. Soymilk and gluten free toast and cereal are available upon request. Please advise the hotel in advance so we can accommodate these requests.

Breakfast is served Monday - Friday 7 am - 10:30 am; Saturday & Sunday 7 am - 11 am. Guests craving a big hot breakfast will find it right next door at the Brooklyn Diner.

Q.May I request a quiet room with a view?

We are a small hotel, almost a townhouse surrounded by tall buildings so we really do not boast our views. Being sheltered in that way has an advantage; given our location in the heart of Times Square, all of our rooms are surprisingly quiet. Our windows either face West 43rd Street, which offers more light but less protection from the noise of the city, or the inside courtyard, which is quieter. Guests who request a quiet room have said that they prefer a room located towards the inside of the hotel. Noise levels can also vary depending on the room type you have selected. Although our first priority is to accommodate your room type, we keep in mind your request for a quiet room. Since we are a small hotel please do not be disappointed if we cannot fulfill both requests.

Q.Do you have a fitness center?

Unfortunately, since we are a small hotel we do not have a fitness center on the property. However, we offer passes to the New York Sports Club which is equipped with a pool, sauna, weights and exercise machines, only steps away.

Q.Is there a coffee shop nearby?

There are two Starbuck's on our block but you won't need to visit them because at the Casablanca, Rick's Café offers afternoon tea, coffee, cappuccino, espresso, cafe au lait and cookies, pastries and fruit which are available for you to help yourself to, 24 hours a day. There are books, newspapers, magazines and a large television for those who want to watch the game, or enjoy a viewing of our favorite romantic movie, Casablanca.

Rick's Café offers breakfast every morning and a wine and cheese reception every evening.

Q.What restaurants do you recommend in the area?

This is the greatest restaurant city in the country, with over 16,000 eating places and 193 ethnic groups. Times Square is home to more then 200 restaurants and countless small eating establishments. Q.Do I need a credit card to check in?

Guests must provide a credit card to the hotel at time of check in to guarantee the hotel charges. We recommend you do not use a debit card for this. When you arrive and register, we must get authorization approval from your bank or card issuer for the amount equal to the room and taxes due for the stay as well as an additional $50 per day to allow for incidental charges during your stay such as phone service, room service, valet service and more.

Q.Are children allowed?

Of course, the Casablanca welcomes children, when accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age. There are no extra charges for children when sharing existing bedding, however there are very few accommodations with two beds, so be sure to let us know how many guests are coming so that we may assure you of the right accommodation. We do have a few mini suites which have a sofa bed for children in the living room. We do not have rollaway beds, as they do not really fit in our rooms, however we do offer baby cribs on request, based on availability. Please advise us of this or any other special needs at the time of your reservation.

Q.Are pets allowed?

Only service animals are allowed at the Casablanca. If you have a service animal, please advise us at time of reservation. Guests are liable for any damages to the room. The service animal may not be allowed to be left in the room unaccompanied.

Q.Do you offer Laundry/Dry Cleaning Service?

Absolutely! We offer same day dry cleaning for articles handed in before 9:00am Monday to Saturday and same day laundry service for articles handed in before 9:00 am Monday to Friday. Laundry/Valet bags and forms are available in the bedroom closet.
